Wildlife photography by: Ken Buckner

Photography has been a passion for me since 1969 when my dad bought my mother a nice camera.  When I had saved enough money, I bought my first 35mm camera in 1974.  Ever since then, I have been mesmerized at the prospect of what will emerge after the film was developed.  For 22 years, I made a comfortable living  as a sports and action photographer.  I was always interested in wildlife photography and dabbled in it a bit on the side.  But my business demanded so much of my time that I never really had the opportunity to test these "wild waters".  As Karen and I pursue new careers as full time missionaries in Africa, there is opportunity to capture some of God's greatest wildlife work.

Tent Making

We are completely faith-based and dependent entirely on outside contributions for our financial support.  The apostle Paul, who established the protocol for missionary service, demonstrated the need to use the tools God had given him to help fill in the gaps when his support comes up short.  Paul was a tent maker by trade.  When his support ran dry, he resorted to making tents to help him survive until his finances were restored.
Wildlife photography is our version of  "tent-making".  When time allows and I get the chance to photograph wildlife on the mission field, I will do my best to capture "special images of God's creation" with my camera.  These images will be available for sale on this web site. They can be ordered on line and shipped directly to you.

Great gift ideas for the holidays!
